Pakistan vs Bangladesh – first T20I cricket

  • Bangladesh require 201 to beat Pakistan in the first T20 international of their three-match series at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan.
  • The hosts’ captain Salman Agha top scored with 56 runs, while Hasan Nawaz (44) and Shadab Khan (48) also chipped in.

Everyone contributed’ to Pakistan’s win

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha is all smiles as he walks up for his post-match interview.

“After we went two wickets down for five runs, things weren’t looking good for us, but we still attacked the bowling,” Salman tells the host broadcaster.

“What mattered is that everyone contributed, and that’s how we want to play – everyone has to bat, bowl and field well.”

The all-rounder said he was delighted to see his team take the game on and was even more pleased with Hasan Ali’s successful comeback.

“I have seen him work hard and put in extra hours, and it has all paid off,” the skipper added.

Pakistan used seven bowlers, and Salman said he’s thrilled to have so many options at his disposal.

“I could have used an eighth bowler in Saim Ayub, but we didn’t need him, and I’m delighted to have this luxury of eight bowling options.”
